Six Sigma

“Things that cannot be measured, cannot be improved” a very old saying but so true.

Organizations continuously work towards product improvement, improvement in customer service, improvement in delivery time, improvement in schedule time, improvement in maintenance and repair process, etc. Improvements cannot be achieved in a single day they are all processes and takes time to give desired results.

Six Sigma process improvement methodology, Lean manufacturing, TQM, and a few more tools are available that organizations are implementing to achieve their quality goals.

It’s important to work on processes rather than products, thus the above-mentioned tools are used towards improving processes.

Six Sigma Process improvement methodology is a widely accepted and used tool across all the sectors like Hospitals, Manufacturing, BPO, ITES, Logistics, Telecommunications, etc.

Educational institutes like Engineering colleges, Management colleges offering BBA, MBA, PGDM, etc have made it a part of their curriculum. Engineering and Management Students opting for Operations & Logistics management domain study course on “Continues Quality Improvement Tools” as a part of their program.

Be it Harvard business school or AICTE-approved colleges in India or Indian universities they all have dedicated courses/programs on Quality Management.
